A Celebration of Pride, Inclusion, and Community!

Pride Month is in full swing at the University of Toronto, with the Progress Pride flag raised high across all three campuses since June 4. At Spaces & Experiences, we proudly join the celebration each year—creating space for joy, connection, and visibility for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Drag, Dance, and Prideful Moments

A highlight of the event was the return of the always fabulous drag performers Messy Margaret and Sanjina, who brought energy, laughter, and fierce performances to the stage. Their presence, along with DJ-spun tracks and plenty of dancing, created a lively and inclusive atmosphere that embodied the spirit of Pride.

Staff and tenants alike came together to celebrate in a space that was both welcoming and joyful—one that reflects the core values of U of T Spaces & Experiences.

Showcasing the 2025 Pride Merchandise Collection

A much-anticipated part of the S&E Pride tradition is the annual Pride capsule collection—available year-round at the St. George, UTSC, and UTM Bookstores, as well as online. This year, the new collection was proudly modeled by members of the U of T Drag Club, a student group that uplifts the artistry, self-expression, and empowerment of drag culture through workshops and live performances.

We were thrilled to collaborate with the U of T Drag Club and spotlight their talent as part of our 2025 Pride celebration.

The 2025 Pride merchandise collection is now available in-store and online. Celebrate Pride, support student initiatives, and wear your colours all year long.

Pride Month Staff Event

This year, over 90 S&E staff members gathered at the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus for an afternoon filled with vibrant live entertainment, delicious food, and uplifting music. The annual Pride celebration, co-led by Telisha Mensah and Ivan Canete from the S&E Equity and Diversity Event Committee, brought colleagues and tenants together in a shared space of celebration and support.

Throughout the event, S&E staff also reflected on what Pride at U of T means to them—underscoring the importance of visibility, allyship, and creating a culture where everyone can bring their full selves to work and campus life.
