After many years of dedicated service to the University of Toronto, Gloria Cuneo retired from her position as Executive Director, Operations at Spaces & Experiences.
Gloria was known for her steadfast leadership and commitment to U of T and S&E’s strategic vision. Her time as Director of University Family Housing (UFH) was nothing short of transformative — she led the team that turned the Charles Street buildings into a thriving community and oversaw the rehabilitation efforts to current properties in the Huron-Sussex neighbhourhood, as well as fostered stronger relationships with long-term tenants.
Her leadership has strengthened S&E’s operations and led to structural improvements across the portfolio. In 2023, she received the President’s Excellence Award for Emerging Excellence, a testament to her leadership, innovation and commitment to the university. She leaves behind a legacy at the university for her love and care for the people that breathe life into the communities on campus.

A busy week at The Conference Centre! 🎓
Conference Services was pleased to host the University of Toronto Career Fair, organized by @uoftstudentlife, Career Exploration & Education.
Hundreds of students joined employers from a wide range of industries to explore career opportunities, meet exhibitors and make valuable connections.
The event brought the venue to life across multiple spaces, with exhibitor booths in the Ballroom and Giovanni Room, an alumni lounge in the Armoury Room, and a lunch buffet in the third-floor foyer.
A great example of how The Conference Centre can bring together hundreds of attendees while giving every part of an event its own space to connect, network and engage.

Presented by University of Toronto Entrepreneurship (UTE), the third annual AcceleratorFest took over the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus (SRIC) this week, bringing together hundreds of students and the people behind UTE`s 13 accelerators and incubators.
From supporting student and alumni startups to helping researchers turn ideas into ventures, these programs are helping build the next generation of companies.
The day also featured the Desjardins Speaker Series: From Vision to Venture, with U of T entrepreneurs Aleisha Cerny, co-founder and CEO of Serenity Power, and Michael Helander, co-founder and CEO of OTI Lumionics, sharing honest insights into the highs, lows and lessons of founder life.
