From launching Spaces & Experiences to reimaging food services and student housing, the portfolio’s longtime AVP leaves lasting mark as she prepares to retire.

Spaces & Experiences celebrated staff reaching major service milestones at a special ceremony recently. Hosted by AVP Anne Macdonald, the event honoured employees with 25 and 30 years of service, recognizing their dedication, professionalism, and lasting impact on the campus community alongside colleagues, friends, and family.

Toronto Tech Week 2026 wrapped up last week, an event that brought together the people and ideas shaping what’s next in tech across the city. For the second year in a row, our Campus Events & Conference Services (CECS) team welcomed the tech community to the University of Toronto.
As part of this citywide momentum, CECS supported the execution of 10 events at the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus—a hub for innovation and technology—where companies, founders, and thinkers came together to connect, share insights, and strengthen the local tech community.
The CECS team also collaborated with University of Toronto Entrepreneurship to present the Desjardins Speaker Series at Convocation Hall—the largest Tech Week event at U of T—as well as the Lawn Party on Front Campus, where attendees connected with innovators to learn about the companies driving Toronto’s tech growth.
CECS is proud to support the innovators and changemakers shaping what’s next — and to provide the spaces where those conversations happen. 🤝
