Eligibility.

Applicants must be tenure-stream or teaching-stream faculty members at the University of Toronto. Ideal candidates are those who believe in the value of a living-learning environment and are deeply committed to mentoring students, many of whom are navigating their first year of university life.

Commitment.

FiR are expected to dedicate 5-10 hours per week to programming and outreach, much of which occurs during evenings and weekends.

Compensation.

The faculty member is compensated with a monthly stipend of $2,400 per month from August to May. As a condition of living in residence, they will receive a discounted rate for a private 2-bedroom apartment or townhouse in residence, and will be required to pay on a monthly basis.
